Oman LNG to allocated 6 million Omani Rials to cover the influence of Covid-19
Oman LNG has allocated 6 million Omani Rials to fight Covid-19.
The company will contribute an amount of 2 million Omani Riyals to the fund established by the Higher Committee for Covid-19 and the Ministry of Health, as well as its contribution of another 4 million Omani Riyals to support the job security fund that has been established by Sultan Haitham bin Tariq with a personal contribution of 10 million Omani Riyals, with the aim of supporting workers whose jobs were affected as a result of this epidemic (according to the Oman News Agency).
The company works with the Ministry of Health in sponsoring projects and initiatives to define requirements in hospitals and clinics in order to control the spread of the virus and provide the necessary treatment to those affected in the Sultanate of Oman. The company funded the purchase of tools and equipment for hospitals in coordination with the Ministry of Health.
The company’s CEO Hareb Al Kettani said that the company’s goal is the sustainable development of the country and the provision of job security for Omanis and that the contributions of the oil and gas sector will go a long way to help those affected by the current situation.
The company is keen to take all precautions and use remote working techniques to reduce the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
