This year, the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) will transform its regional flagship event, the SPE Russian Petroleum Technology Conference, into an inclusive virtual learning experience and hold it on 26-29 October 2020.

The oil and gas industry has always been and continues to be one of the most high-tech, knowledge-intensive and innovative industries in the world. However, in the context of a global pandemic and geopolitical instability, companies are now facing a number of issues, including a slowdown in global energy demand, fixed assets aging and a decrease in the mineral resource base, as well as the need to introduce alternative energy sources.
