Bahrain and cooperation between the Oil and Gas Holding Company and the Arab Petroleum Investments Company

The Oil and Gas Holding Company and the Arab Petroleum Investments Corporation (APICORP) signed a joint memorandum of understanding with the aim of enhancing aspects of cooperation between them. Under this memorandum, the Oil and Gas Holding Company will benefit from APICORP’s experience as a supportive partner for the Arab energy sector, in order to support and develop new strategic initiatives and projects that have a pivotal impact on the future of the energy sector in Bahrain.

The MoU was signed by Mr. Mark Thomas, Group CEO of the Oil and Gas Holding Company, along with Mr. Khalid bin Ali Al-Ruwaij, CEO of APICORP.

The signing was attended by Dr. Muhammad bin Mubarak bin Dina, Minister of Oil and Environment, Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, member of the Board of Directors of the Oil and Gas Holding Company, Dr. Abed Al-Saadoun, Chairman of the Board of Directors of APICORP, and a number of senior officials from both parties.

Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Dina said: “It is a source of pride for us to witness this partnership, which aims to advance progress in the Arab energy sector. We also commend the importance of this partnership in enabling the exchange of experiences in support of national aspirations.

For his part, Dr. Abed Al-Saadoun, Chairman of the Board of Directors of APICORP, stated that the conclusion of this memorandum demonstrates our continuous support and constant focus on supporting the Arab energy sector in its transition towards responsible energy, in order to empower the workforce and support the aspirations of social and economic development.

In turn, Mr. Khalid bin Ali Al-Ruwaij, CEO of APICORP, said: “we are pleased at APICORP to be in joint cooperation with the Oil and Gas Holding Company.
