Oman: Signing of 10-Year LNG Sale and Purchase Agreement
Oman LNG has signed a 10-year natural gas sale and purchase agreement with Mercuria Energy Group for 800,000 metric tons per annum, with deliveries commencing in April 2025.
The agreement underscores Oman LNG’s commitment to providing reliable and sustainable energy to global markets while ensuring sustainable and efficient supplies of LNG.
Headquartered in Europe, Mercuria Energy Group is a global trading company active in the markets of crude oil, refined petroleum products, natural gas, bioenergy, base metals and agricultural products.
Hammad bin Mohammed Al-Naamani, CEO of Oman LNG, said that the partnership with Mercuria Energy Group contributes to the expansion of the company’s business and access to markets. Al-Naamani affirms the company’s continued commitment to providing energy solutions that enhance global energy security and achieve sustainability.
For his part, Marco Dunand, CEO of Mercuria Energy Group, stated that this partnership is in line with the group’s strategy to expand its portfolio in the LNG sector and meet the needs in this field.
