Rimini (Italy), 23rd  October 2020 – The countdown has begun. Ecomondo and Key Energy are returning to Rimini expo centre (Italy) from 3rd to 6th November. The figures confirm the great importance of the event organized by Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), indispensable for the entire circular economy and renewable energy world: 750 companies, 40 start-ups and 140 meetings and workshops. All the entrances will be open and the railway station operating for the occasion.
Ecomondo, now at its 24th edition, will concentrate on four areas (waste and resources, circular bioeconomy, remediation and hydrogeological risk, water) and two special projects (the bio-methane platform and start-up & scale-up). Key Energy, at its 14th edition, will be positioned at the East entrance, will have three focuses (solar & storage, energy efficiency and wind) and will dedicate ample space to the Sustainable City project, paying particular attention to mobility, digitalization and public lighting. Lastly, the spotlight is on innovation, with a dedicated showcase.

The IEG appointment will therefore be the sector’s first to be held live this year at international level, with a busy program of technical-scientific contents to provide responses to regulations and space for networking and meetings on a sector – that of the circular economy – which is at the centre of political, economic and social debate in Italy and in Europe. On the four expo days the guidelines will be traced of the national plans for the European funds of the Recovery Plan, a large part of which is destined to the sustainability sector, a crucial issue for coming years’ development.  There is also great expectation for the States General of the Green Economy, promoted by the National Council in collaboration with the Ministry for the Environment and with the patronage of the European Commission.

Ecomondo and Key Energy will be held in complete safety thanks to the #Safebusiness protocol by IEG, GBAC STAR accreditation as far as risk reduction and the safety of exhibitors and visitors are concerned and the extension of the expo centre’s opening hours from 8:30 am to 7:00 pm, elements with which IEG will strengthen the community in question.
