Egypt: Apache Corporation Succeeds in Reducing 1 Million Tons of Emissions in Egypt in 3 Years
The Egypt International Energy Conference and Exhibition EGYPS 2025 was held in Egypt from February 17 to 19. The conference brought together many people interested in discussing the future of energy, and witnessed many important agreements to support Egypt as a regional energy hub.
During the conference deliberations, Apache Corporation CEO John Chrisman stated that the company had succeeded in reducing 1 million tons of emissions in 3 years, in addition to the company’s community contributions in the fields of health, education and other service areas. He also praised the partnership between Apache and the Egyptian petroleum sector, saying that it was a source of pride.
He pointed out that the company has been operating for more than 30 years and is currently the largest petroleum producer in Egypt, in addition to the company’s support for making Egypt a regional energy hub and constructive cooperation in facing challenges.
Chrisman praised the support of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Eng. Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, noting that the company is striving to increase oil and gas production rates in Egypt during the coming period.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi listened to the visions of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the American company Apache, specialized in oil exploration and research, regarding expanding its business in Egypt. President El-Sisi also received John Christman, Chairman of the American company Apache, and discussed with him joint cooperation for the benefit of both parties. President El-Sisi expressed Egypt’s appreciation for the volume of activities and investments of Apache in the country, as well as its prominent contributions to gas and oil exploration and production operations.
